True Discipline is Not Control of The Mind
True discipline is alignment with the field of awareness.
When awareness leads, the mind and body are regulated naturally.
No control is needed. Action feels light and smooth.
If you rely on thought and emotion (mind), you must constantly react — to people, events, memories, moods. Life pulls the strings. You feel heavy, tensed.
Because mind is the object consciousness (made up by objects, events, environment)
But when you rely on the field of awareness or space consciousness — the silent intelligence in which thought and emotion arise — there is a great buffer.
Stimulus enters. Awareness holds it, looks at it. (No immediate interpretation)
Response comes from clarity – seeing the full situation clearly.
When you’re less affected by the world of moving objects – you can see more clearly and act intelligently.
Why does willpower-based discipline tend to be unsustainable?
Because:
It relies on limited energy of the body-mind
It depends on constant resistance
It fights symptoms rather than regulating the source
So when energy drops, stress rises, or life becomes complex, the system can no longer hold. That’s a collapse.
In simple mechanics
· Mind/emotion → object-driven → reactive → exhausted
· Awareness/field → context-driven → Stable, responsive → free
So instead of trying to control your mind, people, or places—which only scatters your energy and creates more troubles — you practice relying more on the field. Blessings come by themselves.
Dwelling in the field of awareness, and taking action from what you see. This is “going where you wish without hindrance,” as the Masters often say.
Practical application – when obstacles arise:
You pause. You become still and see, rather than react.
In that stillness, the field processes the situation for you.
Insight appears. Direction becomes obvious.
At times, the obstacle itself turns into a resource.
Over time, trust in the field grows.
And with that trust, life becomes enjoyable—even amid uncertainty.
This is self-regulation without suppression.
Discipline without tension.
Freedom without withdrawal.
You are in the world, but not governed by it.
The field doesn’t disconnect you from life.
It stabilizes you within life.
This is why awareness-based discipline creates freedom,
while willpower-based discipline eventually exhausts itself.
What Dr. David Hawkins talk about the infinite power of the field:
“The greatest power in the universe is surrender (to the field)”
Healing Happens In the Field, Not By the Person
Hawkins was explicit:
· The individual does not heal
· The field heals when resistance is removed
Illness, emotional pain, and suffering persist because of holding, attachment, identification, and resistance in the mind. The field is already saving, already healing, already complete. Nothing needs to be added. Only what blocks it needs to be released.
When one surrenders into the field:
· The nervous system calms
· The mind reorganizes
· The body often follows
Healing is a side effect of alignment, not an action.
Hawkins often emphasized that once alignment is stable, life unfolds with far less friction — not because challenges disappear, but because resistance does. Life feels supported rather than opposed
That’s why people living from the field can remain:
· Calm in chaos
· Clear in uncertainty
· Effective without strain
You can enjoy life even in an unpredictable environment.
One Crucial Hawkins Warning (Very Important)
Hawkins cautioned strongly against trying to use the field to get outcomes.
The moment the ego says: “I will use the field to get X” —you fall back into force (mind’s consciousness)
The field responds only to alignment, not manipulation.
