Live Workshop: From Resistance to Aligned Action
Stop losing the moment before you start.
Learn to access clarity and act from it—exactly when it matters.
A direct, repeatable way to act in the exact moment you usually fail to act.
Live Online Workshop
7:30 PM (Pacific Time), May 17 | 75 minutes
This workshop is for you if:
You know what to do—but don’t do it
You delay until pressure builds
You’ve tried to “fix” your motivation, but nothing lasts
You’re tired of forcing yourself
This workshop is offered on a contribution basis as a way to share the practice more openly. Pay what feels right to you.
Try this for 30 seconds—and feel the difference.
Think of something you’ve been avoiding.
Open it—but don’t start yet.
Notice what you feel in your body.
Don’t escape it. Breathing in—stay for 3 seconds.
Now do the smallest possible action:
(write one word, read one line, click one button)
Pause.
Did starting feel—even slightly—easier?
What Just Happened
That small discomfort right before you start—
that’s where most people stop themselves.
Not because they lack discipline.
But because they react to that feeling instantly and disengage with the intended action—avoiding, delaying, or distracting.
When you don’t immediately escape it, something changes:
There’s a bit more space.
The pressure softens.
And starting becomes possible.
Why Thinking Harder Doesn’t Help
In that moment, thinking doesn’t solve the problem.
Under pressure, attention narrows.
You lose access to clarity—and to the energy to act.
What’s needed is not more thinking—
but a shift in how you relate to that moment.
The Aligned Action Practice
The Aligned Action Practice is a simple way to work with that exact moment-so you can move from reaction → awareness → clarity → action.
Not by forcing yourself,
but by accessing a space where action becomes natural.
Start with one small, complete act
Small, complete actions stabilize attention and action.
They create a reliable shift—
one you can feel within seconds.
From there, something surprising happens: Momentum begins.
What once felt resistant can begin to feel surprisingly natural to act on.
What People Experience
“I stopped trying to motivate myself.
I just stayed with that uncomfortable moment… and I started small.
That alone broke a pattern I’ve had for years.”
“I used to rely on pressure to get things done.
Now I just notice the resistance—and begin.
I get more done, and I’m not drained anymore.”
“I’ve read so many books about productivity… but I still didn’t act.
This is the first thing that actually changed what I do.”
In this live session, you will:
Experience the exact moment you usually avoid—and move through it
Feel how starting becomes easier without forcing
Learn what to do when resistance feels too strong
Practice a simple reset to get unstuck in under a minute
Build real momentum on something you’ve been putting off
We’ll experience this practice together—
and hear how others work through the exact moment of resistance.

But What If the Resistance Feels Too Strong?
Sometimes it feels too heavy to even stay with it.
You try—and your body doesn’t move.
In that moment, more effort doesn’t help.
You need a different approach.
There’s a simple way to shift your state in under a minute—
so you’re no longer stuck, and can begin again.
(We’ll experience this together live.)
The Aligned Action Practice in Small, Complete Acts
(Click the image to watch a practice in everyday life: How a simple act—done with full attention—can restore clarity and stability.)
Small, complete actions stabilize both attention and action.
They train a reliable shift:
from reaction → awareness → clarity → aligned action → embodied reinforcement.
It’s a practical loop you can apply—and feel—within 60 seconds.
The 3-Step Practice:
Step 1: Pause & enjoy a full breath
Interrupt reactivity and create immediate space.
Step 2: Expand awareness & let it guide the movement
Open your attention to what’s in front of you.
From this space, clarity naturally appears—along with the energy to act.
Let that clarity lead your next movement.
Step 3: Pause & savor the stability
Notice the groundedness after acting.
What you appreciate begins to strengthen.
Important note:
Start fresh each time — Let go of what you felt before.
Come back to one small, complete, clear action—now.
At the beginning, it may feel slightly uncomfortable or effortful.
It’s actually where awareness activates and energy opens.
The initial friction is actually what activates the energy of the practice.
The Aligned Action Practice in Motion — Access Presence through Movement
(Click the image to watch a short example: How action becomes clear, steady, and energized—when it comes from awareness.)
Together, we’ll move through a simple sequence of 1–2-5-10–20 (or 30—your choice) repetitions—within stillness.
This is not an exercise or a performance.
It’s about using small, intentional movements to open alignment, space, and energy.
Clarity and stability don’t come from force—
they grow through small, grounded repetitions.
Over time, this becomes embodied clarity—
a way of seeing and acting that feels natural, steady, and reliable.
Consistency in doing small, complete actions compounds—both in how you operate and in what you create. This allows you to get things done even when you don’t feel like doing it. You’ll see the power of Just—Come—Back to whatever you want to accomplish. We become what we repeat.
When practicing:
Just do what you can. And gently come back when the mind drifts.
As your body moves, you’ll begin to notice something subtle: A point of rest within the movement.
Stay there—and energy begins to build on its own.
What You’ll Gain
Clarity
Reduce emotional reactivity and act more effortlessly.
Energy
Access a fresh, steady energy of the present that reduces friction and supports action.
The Deeper Shift (long-term consequences)
This work changes the operating state behind your behavior.
You begin to move from reacting… to being present.
This Is Not Another Productivity Method
This is not about:
more discipline
pushing yourself harder
This is about:
Working with what actually happens in the moment you don’t act—
And experiencing what changes it.
Why I create this workshop
For more than a decade, I practiced Zen and Vipassana meditation in the U.S.,
including three years living and training at a Zen center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Through that time, one question stayed with me:
How can clarity remain available—not just in meditation,
but in the exact moments we need to act?
Gradually, I distilled what worked most reliably into a simple, practical approach—something that could be used not only in stillness, but in the middle of real life.
Over time, this became what I now call: The Aligned Action Practice
This workshop is an invitation to experience it together.
